Jourdan,

According to some of the locals up there, it is already in the silver style colors.

Jourdan

There is also news from JAL that they are going to convert two of their passenger types into freighters. I guess the 200s are getting old so they have to replace a few. And they have a lot of 777 anywayz

Great to hear the new 744F will be in silver.
Their odd silver 742F JA8180 looks still so much better than the rest of the fleet although the aircraft is more than 15 years old.

I was on Boeing's tour this past Monday and I can confirm that I saw 2 Jal 747-440(f) in their new livery. All silver with a hald red moon on the tail.

Can someone confirm that -200F will not be allowed into Europe after 2005 or 2006? That's rumor I heard for the reasoning behind NCA & JL ordering -400F.

Well, Carpethead

I have no idea if this is correct or not but I read all this news about JAL upgrading their 200's and 300's to suit European operation. You can think of some of those pax classics going to NCA or JAL cargo. So if then, I think they should be able to fly to Europe. Unless there are some noise restrictions.

I was in Seattle on Monday and took the Boeing plant tour. They had 2 747F already painted in the new livery of JAL and looks like almost ready for delivery.
They were also 2 T7 for ANA. 1 773ER for Air France and another 772 for KLM.
in the assembly plant they are now manufacturing 3 744 for China Airlines, 2 passengers and 1 freight.
It was an impressive tour and the motto there was: IT it ain't Boeing, we ain't going.!
