Northwest To Hawaii

Tue Oct 05, 2004 9:15 am

I just booked a SkyTeam Awards Ticket from JFK to Honolulu (connection in DTW and MSP) with the return HNL to LaGuardia (connection in LAX and MSP) for May, 2005.

It is going to be a double connection in each direction. I never have the opportunity to fly Northwest (always Delta), but with all of the recent positive NWA feed back on, I look forward to it. The aircrafts will be types I do not fly on so it will be a nice change. It will also be a varied list of flights.

On the outbound, I will be on:
JFK to DTW DC-9-30
DTW to MSP DC-9-30
MSP to HNL DC-10-30

On the return:
HNL to LAX 757-300
LAX to MSP 757-300
MSP to LGA A320

I look forward to the DC-9-30's and the DC-10-30. It will feel like the good old days. Hopefully the itinerary stays, but booking so far in advance, it will most likely change due to schedule updates. Hopefully I can get in the back of the DC-9's to hear the roar of those engines. Flying on the A320 will be a change for me also. It should be fun.

Go Delta!

Looking forward to May '05
JFK-DTW will definetely be a DC-9-30
DTW-MSP could likely change
MSP-HNL will definetely be a DC-10-30

HNL-LAX will definetely be a 753
LAX-MSP will likely be a 753, but could change
MSP-LGA will likely be an A319/A320 but could change.

The DC 9 from DTW to MSP could be upgraded to a 40 or 50...get the N number. That will tell.
If two people agree on EVERYTHING, then one isn't necessary.

Didn't I read somewhere that NW was going to retire their DC-9s. Is there a thread out there devoted to this? I would like to discuss it further  Big grin

Just a little joke, don't everyone pile on!
