Hotels At NRT With A View

Wed Oct 06, 2004 10:29 am

Anyone know of resonably priced hotels at NRT that have a view of the runways/Airport???????

I'm not sure how reasonably priced these are, but two hotels with the best views are the Hotel Marroad Narita, and the Holiday Inn Tobu. The Hilton Narita and the Tokyu Excel Hotel Narita are also close to the main runway, and may offer airline employee rates, if you are lucky (or unlucky!) enough to be one.

Enjoy your trip! Narita Airport has a fantastic observation deck and can keep you spotting away for hours!

Alas, I am not an airline employee. Have been to NRT 3 times before and the observation deck is fantastic I agree but a tad nippy in winter.

you stay at the Marroad Hotel, ask for airport view room and it has a view of runway 34L 16R for the whole length, from there you can walk under 16L to sakura no yama park and photograph in the arvo.

all spotters go straight to the marroad, room rates are about $70AUD per night, forget the Holiday Inn Tobu, to expensive and the view of 34R is not worth the rate. get a room on the top floor at the marroad, Sam and I both had the 12th floor.

i only stay at the marroad.

The viewing area at T1 is good! you get a good view of the main runway. I didn't get a chance to take any pictures while I was there but It gave a good view and it was outside with aircraft being serviced right below you. I saw my first A346 there, which belonged to VS, being serviced right below me.

I think you'll enjoy your stay at NRT if you enjoy spotting. You can see planes arriving into 34 Left and when they are departing, you must get an awesome view of departing traffic from 16R.

Hope you enjoy your stay!!!

Stayed at the NRT Hilton recently. Had a higher floor looking nearly straight down the runway. Somewhat odd to see a fully loaded aircraft coming straight at you.

forget hilton, forget holiday inn, you go straight to the Marroad! these photos are all taken right from the hotel room, you get takeoff shots from your room if 34L is in use also.

I have had good views at the Holiday Inn Tobu at NRT, and also I heard that the Hillton has a complete overview over NRT, the Hilton was before the Rhiga Royal Hotel.

simple solution, look where everyone else stays, Sam, Bailey, Andy Hunt, myself and so on, everyone that want's to take photo's at NRT stays at the Marroad, it's location is supreme and you can easily walk to the afternoon vantage points.

end of discussion, you asked for reasonably priced hotels with a view, this is the one we all stay at!
