Who Still Prints Timetables?

Fri Oct 08, 2004 7:03 am

I know that we have talked about this before, however I did a search and I cant find it.

I saw today at SEA Delta and Southwest have printed timetables still. I was so excited about the DL one, I thought it was Christmas and I was 9 again.

Who else please?

When I was at the airport - I picked up an AirTran, Independence Air and Delta timetable. I know Southwest prints them, as you stated - and I heard that AA was bringing them back on one of the other threads. I know that Northwest and Continental recently printed them, but since the advent of the Internet and downloadable timetables, they've gone by the wayside.

Continental has not printed a time table since November of 2001.
AeroMexico still prints a time table. I guess because they still dont have one you can download. The AM timetable always has great pictures on the cover. Check it out sometime.

US Airways does not...I know Delta does, Independence does, and Southwest does, I could tell you that for a fact...BTW, has Independence released their traffic figures for September?

NW last printed sched was DEC of 02. I remember going thru DTW in early Jan of 03 looking for a schedule and the agents there said were none and the company stopped printing them to save $$$$$$$$$.
They(NW) make one available on their website to download.

Positive for AF, they had a nice one with the almost hourly schedule for NCE-CDG/ORY in a business card format.

I was also surprised that I found an Easyjet schedule once in NCE, but I don't recall for which route it was...
coz I'm leaving on a jetplane !

Only the European and Asian countries produce them as they are not linked to the internet as much as citizens in North Americaa.

Actually, now that I think of it, Air Canada was the first airline to start the trend, discontinuing timetables in late 00'.

See the below-thread for other carriers in the U.S. that still print timetables; particularly Reply #3.

Edited to add:

As far as I know you can get airport timetables. ABE & PHL publish theirs quarterly.

To the PHL guys,

The new PHL timetables have a folliage background. I just picked one up at the Independence Visitor's Center (located at 6th & Market) during my lunch break. They should be also available at the various Information desks through out the terminals and at SEPTA's Market East station. I'm not sure whether 30th Street Station or Suburban Station have them as well or not.

Aloha prints Timetables, Hawaiian does not. Island Air usually has a 8.5x11 piece of paper with their schedule on it.
