The Train Arrives At Tel Aviv Airport

Sun Oct 10, 2004 7:52 am

The first train from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport will run on Sunday!

The line as well as the new Terminal 3 (which was in the past called "Ben Gurion 2000"...) were scheduled to open already a few years ago but there were many delays.

This line is the first section of the new Tel Aviv - Jerusalem line; in the future, it will also be possible to travel by train from the airport to Jerusalem in a mere 20 minutes.....

I bitterly miss the livery that should never have been changed (repetition...)

That seems quite fast. Will they be using a Mag-lev or TGV?

No no...regular trains, but Israel is a VERY small country. Ben Gurion Airport is located just outside of Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem is not far away either.....The new line to Jerusalem will run through several bridges and tunnels making the distance even shorter....

Having a train connection at an airport is really something very convenient!
