ATA Flight In Flight To DSM From Milan, Italy

753 in route now. It made a stop in Shannon, Ireland and BGR. Why is he going to DSM??

Yeah that's what I immediately thought...still kinda funny to see a plane "MXP - DSM"...hahahahaha

I don't think it was a military charter. Usually those flights use different flight numbers and don't appear in our computer system (as this one does). ATA has been running quite a few charters from Midwestern cities to MXP recently. Likely a private charter customer.

I spotted a direct UAX flight from one of the major airports in North Carolina (don't remember if it was Charlotte or Raleigh-Durham) a couple of weeks ago to CID direct, which is not normal. I did not see a repeat, but it was odd that it appeared in Flytecomm at all if it was not a regular schedule. Where are you guys seeing these things, by the way? -Jan (eastern Iowa - oh, no, there goes AF1 AGAIN!).

AF1 was in ALO yesterday! Got to see it land live on T.V! I really hope it didn't screw up the runway like it did at that one airport in New Mexico. The weight limitation for a Double Tandem is 140,000. Air Force One is much heavier than that.
