Why DL And CO To TXL?

Tue Oct 12, 2004 9:15 am

Delta and Continental are starting flights to Berlin Tegel in 2005. The EWR flight (CO) will operate with 757-200's, while the JFK flight, with the 767-300ER. They are now partners (SkyTeam). Why are they both doing this??? Delta is exercising a dormant right it inherited from Pan Am (Delta actually has already flown JFK-TXL with a TXL to WAW tag during the 1990's).

Why? Why? Why?

Basically because Delta's partnership with Skyteam and also Continental's new partnership with the airline partnership.
