New Large Airline In The States?

Sat Oct 16, 2004 4:54 am

Do you think there will ever be a new large airline in the United States that is on par with the likes of United, Delta, American, etc.? Would be nice to have more options here in the US. I know there will probably be a large LCC base here in the US, but I'm talking about and airline with a large national and international network.

Hopefully there will never be another large airline on par with United and Delta (broke, bankrupt, and or teetering on BK). But to the point of the topic, I will say from an investment standpoint, it will be decades before anyone will be able to package the debt and equity necessary to build such an airline. The capital costs are simply too high, and lenders are justifiably weary of the entire sector.
See you up front!
