Sat Oct 16, 2004 8:50 am

Hi to all and sorry if that have been already discussed, but my searchs gave nothing.

What do we know about A380 fuel effeciency. I heard that it would use less fuel than a car /pax/km. What about it ?

I'll appreciate any info.

I heard that it would use less fuel than a car /pax/km.

...theoretically assuming it was full-capacity and fully-fueled.

Wouldn't be a first though.

"Most aircraft operate more efficiently than cars..."

Some aircraft are more efficient than some cars. But I suspect at highway speeds the best car uses less fuel per seat-km than the best aircraft. Or best jet airliner, anyway.
