City-based budget airline flyglobespan.com today announced the first daily scheduled services from the Capital to Palma, Malaga and Alicante.
The airline will also increase the number of flights from Edinburgh to Rome and Nice from twice a week to four and six a week respectively. And the airline is introducing a new cut-price service between Edinburgh and Madrid, with two flights leaving for the Spanish capital every week.
3 additional aircraft will be based at EDI next Summer
Flyglobespan.com’s summer 2005 expansion will also see a big increase in its Glasgow flights, with 12 destinations being offered - including new daily services to Orly airport in Paris, Faro, Barcelona and Tenerife. The new services have been supported by BAA Scottish Airports’ route development fund, which was established in 2002 to directly promote international services to and from Scotland.
Early reports say that GSM will base 6 aircraft at GLA next Summer. The new Orly service makes 11 destinations although te report says 12 destinations from GLA. So maybe Madrid will also be served from GLA.
