Why No IFE On CO 757 International Flights?

I'm still trying to figure out why CO doesn't PROVIDE IFE on a 757? They have IFE on the widebodies.

With the ever increasing use of 757 to Europe maybe they should revalute this shortcoming.

Could it be because of the added weight/range issue or money is the bigger issue?
Airbus or Boeing - it's all good to me!

There is IFE on CO's intercon 752 flights...

All CO 757s have audio and video entertainment systems on board. Just no PTVs.

Probably no approved PTV systems available right now for the 757.

I flew a CO 752 to GLA a few years back and they "did" have IFE. They were the LCD screens that popped down. I like these alot better than the DL style middle upper ceiling mounted tv's.

do u mean ptvs? cause otherwise they do have ife.

There's no ptv's in Y on CO's 752's, but they're great planes even across the atlantic. I've taken their 752's between BHX, EDI, GLA (2 years ago) and EWR, and have yet to be disappointed. Will be on one EDI-EWR on Friday. I end up doing coursework on most of the flights, so PTV's don't really matter much to me. The friendly crew and comfortable aircraft are a nice bonus though. Row 16 every time...Exit row with full recline

Adding PTV's adds extra weight which may reduce payload which brings down ASM which in turn brings down the potential revenue.

Widebodies have a greater leeway of adding extra weight for amenities like this.

The system on Song's planes is being marketed for single-aisle aircraft. Maybe when the airlines start making more money, CO might invest in such a system.
