AA 823 - Leading Edge Problem

Mon Oct 25, 2004 1:44 am

Flew AA 823 (MIA-LAX) last night and the flight returned after takeoff when a leading edge would not retract properly. No problem on the landing, the fire department made sure the brakes were not too hot and AA had another 767 ready to go within 2 hours.

The interesting part for me was that the captain was having a check flight. She did pretty well from what I could see, but bet she would have preferred a nice easy flight instead.
