American Charters In GPT

Mon Oct 25, 2004 3:21 am

Can anyone explain the AA 777 that landed in GPT for a charter? Does anyone know who chartered it. I was headed outside to watch a NWA Avro takeoff, and suddenly an AA 777 whooshed by me. I was jaw-dropping. Any info?

ATA has been doing massive military movements to VCV. The AA B777 is likely related.

Did you get a picture!? Did you get a picture!? Did you get a picture!?

God, the things I miss down their while I'm up in the Delta.

BR715: Most likely a military charter. A lot of troops from the NCBC have been returning home lately, so thats one possible guess. Does make sense, the charter could have dropped off GPT based sailors and took the rest to VCV which is closer to the NCBC North of LA.

DSUairptman. No picture  Sad. I was going outside by Gate 1 to wait for the Avro ARJ coming in, and it landed and zoomed right past me. I didn't have my camera either as I was there not to spot, but to pick someone up.

BR715:

Bummer on the pic...

At least you got to see it. BTW is it as big in real life as people say it is?
