Question: Seat Pitch For SWA And AA(non-mrtc)?

Tue Oct 26, 2004 5:56 am

Hey All,
Does anyone know what the seat pitch is for SouthWest 737's? How is the seating for long-ish flights? Comfortable?

Also, while on the subject of legroom.. Does anyone know what the seating will be like on AA flights, once they remove the MRTC product from the fleet? Say, for example, an MD-80 will go from 34/35" to what?

Thanks in Advance

For Y class, WN has great pitch... I think it's 32 or 33 inches. Their new interiors are very comfortable with the all leather seats. Now if they could just make that boarding process a little less like the cattle run...

For AA MD80 & 738 aircraft [add 1 row of seats] one can figure an average of about 1" less pitch than the MRTC configuration [removed 2 rows of seats].

Even though I am not a fan of Southwest I will have to give them credit with their seat pitch, I don't feel so cramed in there.

Southwest 33 inches.

Amer. Don't know, but their 757 seemed less than Sothwest to me.
I don't understand everything I don't know about this.
