Qantas thru the South Pole

Fri Nov 06, 1998 2:47 am

Qantas announced the beginning of flights in the route SYD-AKL-EZE using B747-400. Does anybody know if they will go further, that is , to GRU in Brazil?

lately, when ever I'm in Sydney I've noticed alot of adverting for Aerolines Argentina (I think that's how you spell it??)
So I'd think that Qantas would be taking business away from Aerolineas Argentina's Australia-South America routes if they start flying more to those countries.

Qantas is codesharing with this route Qantas operating twice a week and AR also twice a week.
I think that Qantas would be interested in expanding the services to South America but i believe that if they do that, it will be through code sharing with AR aircraft and crew.
