United Airlines Launches Daily Nonstop Service Between Chicago O'Hare and Buenos Aires
Friday October 29, 12:41 pm ET
CHICAGO, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, United Airlines will begin daily nonstop service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD
) and Buenos Aires' Ezeiza International Airport (EZE
), with connecting service to Montevideo, Uruguay. To launch its Chicago- Buenos Aires service, United is offering customers a Mileage Plus® bonus miles promotion and limited-time introductory fares.*
"United's reinstated nonstop flight between our Chicago hub and Buenos Aires complements our existing nonstop service from our Washington Dulles hub and this vibrant city," said Martin White, senior vice president-Marketing. "Many of our Buenos Aires customers traveling through Washington Dulles were connecting on to Chicago and the western states. Now, United makes it even easier for customers to reach their destinations in the Chicago area, west of the Mississippi and virtually anywhere in the world through the Star Alliance network.
"In addition to enhancing cultural and business exchange opportunities," added White, "our new route enables vacation travelers to take advantage of opposite weather seasons in the United States and Argentina -- as ski season is ending in South America, it's just beginning here in the states. We are delighted to bring back our Chicago-Buenos Aires service and want to share our excitement with customers by offering great deals on ticket fares in addition to an attractive bonus miles offer."
Mileage Plus members can earn bonus miles -- 8,000 miles for United First®, 5,000 miles in United Business® and 3,000 miles in United Economy® -- when they purchase and fly a qualifying roundtrip between Chicago and Buenos Aires between Oct. 31, 2004, and Jan. 31, 2005.** Mileage Plus members can earn this bonus a maximum of three times during the offer period and can register for the bonus miles offer through http://www.united.com/buenosaires , or by calling 800-447-6772 and entering code 305. "The Argentinean government is delighted that United will be flying to Buenos Aires from Chicago," says Ernesto M. Paz, Chicago Consul General of Argentina.
