I've taken part in some Il 76 and An-124 loadings here in Turkey. It's good fun, with any luck one of the Crew will speak good english and will tell you jokes from the communist era! If what you are loading has measurements, it doesnt matter if you give them the dimensions sometimes, the load master gets out his tape measure and remeasures every piece of cargo, this goes more for the An-124, obviously he can't make mistakes. Make sure you get a cockpit visit on the 76!! It's awesome, and kinda mind boggling at the same. And excellent advice to wear the ear plugs. If the engines are really old like the ones here in Turkey, you will see them carry their own BP
oil quarts and the technician will open the engine case and start filling her up!!
have a good time Dan!
