Need Help With An Iceland Airport

Thu Nov 04, 2004 8:13 am

Hi!

Somebody from Iceland who could answer this one? I need the information for my personal trip log.

Recently, I flew from VEY (Vestmannaeyjar) to the tiny town of Bakki, which was 5 flight minutes north of VEY, just opposite on the mainland. I'm trying to find out the ICAO or IATA code of that airstrip, but strangely, searching for "Bakki" brings up another town with apparently the same name, west of Akureyri in the north.

What's this all about? Any help appreciated!

Hi Sören!

The ICAO code for the airport at Bakki is BIBA. I'm not sure if it has an IATA code, at least I could not find it listed anywhere.

Here you can find some more information about the airport:

Hope this helps  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
