Spanair Pilots To Strike

Sat Nov 06, 2004 8:18 am

Spanair pilots have called for 14 days of strikes in Nov and Dec. If things aren't solved the first day will be the 16th of November. Do you think this could be the straw that will break the camels back?

Bullpit,
How are they doing financially? I haven't flown them in years and they offered a decent product.

Airgeek12,

Not a chance in the world because they don't have 744's...maybe for their MD-80s, A320s or 767s and even after that I doubt it.
Twinjets...if one fails, work the other one twice as hard!!!

They also fly the 717. 767s were retired of Spanair's fleet soon after Sept 11th.

Spanair I believe are operating at a loss. I have some data at home from a study done by a colleague in the Union comparing IB, Spanair and Air Europa and the worst by far was Spanair (Worst economically).
