Why So Much FX At LCK?

Wed Nov 10, 2004 1:01 pm

Is FedEx trying to turn LCK into another sort center? I look at flytecomm and it seems like some days there are just as many flights at LCK as there are at AFW. After all, IND isn't that far down I-70.

What's going on? What is the plan at LCK? Also, it seems like everyday without fail there is an MSP-LCK flight, is this for one client in particular or just part of a bigger plan?

LCK is the old Flying Tiger hub that Fedex acquired when they bought them in 1988. Fedex does a lot of charters out of there too.
Next time try the old "dirty Sanchez" She'll love it !!!

Yes, LCK is a very large cargo hub for this region. Other companies flanking FX at LCK are Eagle Global Logistics, Evergreen International Airlines (cargo charters), Forward Air, Inc., and UPS.

Both UPS and FX have smaller sorting hubs here in the Columbus area.
