Croatia Airlines!

Sat Mar 11, 2000 8:59 am

I was wondering if anyone new, if Croatia Airlines was ever going to order any widebodies to fly overseas such as New York ect. Or if they were going to join any alliance such as "OneWorld" or "Star."

Thanks Again

i flew with them alot of times and i don't think they can really afford it. most of the Croatians that travel often and can go to other airports (like Ferihegy in Budapest) use other airlines because Croatia Airlines is much more expensive than, for example Malev. I pay 170 pounds return ticket from Budapest to London Heathrow and the ticket from Zagreb to LHR would cost me 300 pounds.

N.B. This is a Croatian friend of mine's opinion on the question!!

well...I would bet for one B767 or a A330
for overseas routes !! not wider planes 'coze they don't
have sufficient passengers rates to fill the planes and
earn money. Joining an alliance ??....I don't think so,
their routes network is not enough important to interest major alliances...code-shares on Zagreb route would be
preferable !!

do you what's happened with JAT planes ??? are they
grounded in Belgrad or sold to other companies ??? I
mean about their single DC-10....

cheers,
