USAirways To End Service At Evansville

Thu Nov 11, 2004 10:58 pm

Effective Dec 19th, USAirways will end all service to Evansville, Indiana. Currently, US has 3x daily RJ service to CLT. Service from EVV to PIT was terminated earlier this year.

EVV will still have service from NW (DTW/MEM), AA (ORD/STL) and DL (CVG/ATL).

Thats a shame...

Just one more city that has been delegated to nothing but regional jets and now is even losing that service....

Back in the day USAir used to fly BAC111s and DC9s to Pittsburgh, Delta with DC9s to Chicago OHare then when they left it was Britt with FH-227s and BAC111s. Eastern used to run DC9s to Atlanta.
Its just a shame that these cities are losing air service....
Doesnt anyway get it that the hub and spoke system of doing things is passe??

Remember, Wherever you go, there you are!!!!
