What Are The Odds That The AirTran Deal Will Fail?

Thu Nov 18, 2004 3:22 am

I know the ATA subject is in several different threads but i cannot find the more recent one...anyway...what are the odds that the ATA/AirTran deal will not go through? I know that other airlines could bid but it seems like the AirTran deal is the best for ATA. America West, in my opinion, is not an ideal candidate considering they already owe on the government backed loan and Southwest just wants pieces of the MDW operation. Any thoughts? thanks  Big thumbs up

Same as the odds Chicago's mayor will intervene and screw it up.
I don't understand everything I don't know about this.

I'm giving it a 10% chance of falling through. If Dailey starts really sticking his nose into it and interferes, I'm upping it to 25%.
