HP 737 Retiring

Fri Nov 19, 2004 5:01 pm

Aircraft N186AW will go to Goodyear on 11/19. This will leave only 2 737-200 left with HP.

Which 2 are left? And when will they be leaving the fleet? Sad to hear the 732 is becoming a memory with HP. Regards.

N186AW has been at GYR for well over a week now. There are actually still three -200s left in the fleet: N182AW, N187AW and N189AW.

182 is still in the fleet, but not operating passenger services. it is parked at the hangar. 187 and 189 are the only two in revenue service.

Are they planning on retiring their 733s soon? or are those going to be around for awhile?

Dbo861,
Most of the 733 leases run through 2007-2008. After that, expect A319/320s to take their place, unless Boeing makes a smoking deal on 737NGs that would compensate for the added cost of running multiple fleet types.
