OK...let me clear a few things up. The freed a/c will be an MD80, not a 73G. As I said the current flight is a 73G, but in March before the schedule change it will be a MD80.
Tom- nothing new on MSY
. Keep ya posted
had been a ongoing rumor. Here is my opnion on it. ATL
is a very long flight. We codeshare with DL
. We should just put our pax on DL
, and use the AS
medal for a shorter flight. SLC
is a good possibility w/ DL
putting so many CRJ's on the west coast soon. HNL
, not happening! To pricy to ETOPS certain planes and Alaska makes it very clear that each plane should be able to fly anywhere (with a few exceptions)
SHUPirate- I would have to disagree with you on the best plane equipped for DCA
. The 73G is just as capable as a A319. Maybe better! On the slots, US is the only airline to file a DCA
filed for DEN
and got it.
ANCFlyer-Alaska did start DCA
w/ a -900 and did not change it due to weight issues. It was the downturn in the economy. The 73G fit better. The -900 was redeployed for better markets and help start Florida service.
**** Breaking rumor and facts ****
Back to the subject titled. Fact-Another CR7 comes online March 6th, the day of the new schedule. Rumor- as I was writing this a CR7 Capt. said he heard that one of the F9
CR7 was returning to QX
service as part of the F9
scheduling changes. I'm checking into this one!
