From Irish Radio RTE site

...........................
A Lufthansa aircraft en route to the United States has diverted to Dublin Airport following a call to the airline to say there was a device on board.

The 370 passengers and 18 crew have left the plane, which is parked in a remote location at the airport.

Gardaí are due to begin a search of the aircraft.

Aer Rianta says that the airport is fully operational.

I hope everyone's okay.

On a lighter note, does this mean they will have to make a second stop at SNN before returning to EWR?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Freddie Laker ... May be at peace with his maker ... But he is a persona non grata ... with IATA

I was on a LH B744 flying NY-FRA in 1997 which stopped at DUB to offload a heart-attack patient.

According to cnn.com, it is isolated on the ramp, and they are waiting until 2am (supposed time of arrival in Newark) to search it, incase it's a timed device on board. Let's hope this was just another very bad joke!

I guess that's what happens in the end, you start thinking about the beginning.
