United Express, Ted, Delta, And ASA...?

I've recently booked 2/3 of a trip from Edmonton to Las Vegas, then onto Montreal for a convention.

My Edmonton-Vegas leg consists of:
United Express CRJ-200 YYC-DEN
Ted A320 DEN-LAS

My Vegas-Montreal leg consists of:
Delta B767-400 LAS-ATL

I've been on the AC Jazz CRJ twice before, so I know what to expect there, but...

I've only flown to the US three times (Delta in 1991 to California, Canada 3000 in 1995 to Vegas, and American in 1996 to Florida). As such, I wanted to mix up the variety of carriers on this trip without costing a fortune. I've never flown United or its affliates, I haven't flown Delta since 1991 and i've never been on a Delta Connection flight.

What should I expect service/comfort wise from these carriers? Also, i'm VERY excited to get the chance to ride on a 767-400... what are these aircraft like?

Probably will not see a whale of a difference between the first two flights...both the same model RJ...DEN is a large airport waaaay outside of the city but normally outstanding views of the mountains both while in the air and on the ground. TED is one class A320...free audio/video so you can listen on channel 9 to ATC on the whole flight if that catches your fancy. DL764's are looooooong aircraft...try to get towards the forward part for a seat. Nice new interiors and quite comfortable. Then the ASA CRJ...pretty much like the other 2. Almost sure you will have to change concourses in ATL.....probably not in DEN.

Never been on a Delta 767-400...I was supposed to on Saturday, but a month ago they downgraded the flight from a 764 to a 763. Maybe in January/February...

I can talk about ASA though, having flown them GSO-DFW in September. Pretty much standard for a regional jet, slightly less comfortable than a mainline jet, as the seats are slimmer. Try and go for either the emergency row (there's maybe an inch or two more legroom), or an empty seat next to you to spread out. Service is drink service and a snack mix bag, which is pretty bad (even the FA on my flight said that it was bad), so if you're going to want food, grab some in ATL.

The LAS-ATL flight will arrive in either the T or A gates, and the ASA flight will most likely leave from the C gates (maybe D), so you will have to take the Shuttle train, which is quite easy. If you're arriving in A, they have a food court right next to where you board the Shuttle, so it's quite convinient. There's not a whole lot over in Concourse C, a few restaurants and shops, but nothing compared to A (which is really the best concourse in terms of amenities in ATL). If you have a longer layover (at least 90 minutes, 2 hours is preferable) and are hungry, make sure you eat at Chili's Too in A, it's up on the 3rd or 4th floor and overlooks the A/B ramp, so it's pretty fun to eat and do some spotting at the same time. I'll be eating there on Saturday during my layover (I set it up so that I would intentionally have enough time to do this, as I could have taken an earlier connection, but why do that when I'm not in a rush, it's dinner time, and it's the international bank at ATL with plenty of DL 763s, a BA 777, and a KLM 763?).

Thanks Hiflyer and DeltAirlines.

I've heard good things about both Ted and Delta recently, so i'm looking forward to flying both. Hopefully i'll have someone relatively talkative to sit next to as well... I thoroughly enjoy chatting with my American neighbours.

One more question. Does the 767-400 climb like a bat out of hell the same way a -200 or -300 does?

The YYC flight on UAX will arrive at the end of concourse B in Denver and the LAS flight will depart from the A. Check united.com for concourse maps as the YYC-DEN leg is usually operated by SKyWest and they do not always board Hemisphere's magazines (UA mag with concourse maps).
