Thu Dec 09, 2004 3:51 am

Hi,

Finally Thomsonfly have annoced the flights that will be operating out of Bournemouth.

Amsterdam
Paris
Pisa
Valencia
Palma
Faro
Malaga

I'm hopeing to fly them to Malaga.

I heard that 2 Boeing 737-300's will be flying the routes from Bournemouth, Why not 737-500's?

It's a shame that the 300's are flying the routes coz it's not often you see a 500 series a/c. Could be because the demand is higher enough to allow a larger a/c. Maybe the company will look to replace the whole 500 fleet with the larger 300 or maybe an order for the 700.
The only other thing I can think of is that it is hard to find 2nd hand 500's.

Hi,

SericeairKid,

As you said demand is very high, some flights are fully booked i think now,So that is why they have the 737-300's probs. And as you said 2 2nd hand 737-500's are probably hard to find and they might have got a very good deal on the 737-300's.

I wouldn't think they would order any 737-700's just yet but it would be great to see them flying with TF in the future.  Smile

As for the 737-500's it is not often you do see a 500, especially at Bournemouth, If my memory serves me right I do not believe I have seen a 737-500 in my life, If I had it was definitely not at Bournemouth.

I think they chose 500's because they are so quiet and also because of the runway length at Coventry. I could be wrong, I know 300's can fly from CVT but I think it was a safer bet to go with the 500. They are amazingly quiet!

I can see them operating a standard fleet in a year though.

I have just booked a flight with them to Malaga from Bournemouth, 20th July -27th 2005.

I would perfer to fly the 500 but it would never nother me if i went on one of the 300's.
