It will augment it. Currently Northwest flights to France are O and D flights on the European side, while on the American side they are connections. With Air France coming to DTW
- the American side will be the O and D side and Europe will be the connecting side.
I believe Air France offers a lot of connections to the Middle East and Detroit Area has a HUGE (and i believe the largest in USA) Muslim population that would connect to various Middle Eastern countries. Currently the only Middle Eastern airline is RJ
. KLM has some connections at AMS
, Lufthansa at FRA
but Air France will offer even more.
Didn't Delta and Air France both fly between CVG
in the past? Detroit is a larger city than Cincinnati.
