Delta only U.S. carrier to offer service to Chennai and serve two cities in India
YORK, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta (NYSE
- News) customers soon will have more access to India with new, planned daily service between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Chennai (Madras), India, with a stop at Paris' Charles de Gaulle International Airport, beginning May 9.
Customers will benefit from the service and experience of the only U.S. carrier serving two cities in India, Mumbai and Chennai. Expanding international service is a key element of Delta's transformation plan, which will provide customers more access to the world.

Delta currently offers passengers daily New York-Paris-Mumbai flights and daily seasonal service from New York-Frankfurt-Mumbai.
The new service will feature the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, featuring Delta's award-winning BusinessElite® service with seats in a 2x2x2 configuration and 60 inches of pitch.
