Asiana A330 Starts Flying Today.

Thu Dec 16, 2004 2:18 am

The first A330 for Asiana, HL7736 will start revenue service today (Dec 16th)
to Osaka (KIX) as flight OZ112, which departs at 10:00AM.

Throughout January, the A330 will be used only to Osaka and Singapore.

All seats have Personal Televisions.

Thanks for the udpate.

Does J class have a slighty improved cabin? I don't expect lie flat seats, but hope the pitches will increased to the standard 50".

hopefully it will come to Hong Kong soon.

Cheers!

Asiana has introduced new lie-flat seats in business class on the A330.
It reclines nearly fully, up to 170 degrees.
All seats will have 15" screens with AVOD, laptop power supply and the business class cabin will have a minibar. This will also be introduced on newly delivered 777s by next year.

According to the Airbus delivery announcement, they will all be A333s though earlier reports said they were a split between A332s and A333s.
They will seat 30J, 260Y.
Does anyone know what TO weight these planes are?? JP Fleets had the A332s at 230K and A333s at 212K.

Hopefully the A330-300s will replace the awful 767-300s that Asiana is flying between ICN-MNL/BKK/CGK/SIN/HKG/Japan. Those 763s have a configuration suitable for domestic flights.

Actually, the first revenue flight was on Dec. 24 between ICN-KIX not Dec. 16 due to late delivery of the aircraft.
