What Is USA3000 Like?

Mon Dec 20, 2004 8:51 am

A good friend of mine will be flying on USA3000 from PIE to CLE (for Christmas) and she wants to know what to expect (such as leg room, in flight service, etc)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the service looks quite good...movie (FREE) and a hot meal (FREE)...not sure about seats...based on their site, I would definently consder it for a trip to NY over some of the service we get at FLL...the only thing is their inconsistant schedules.

My friend just returned from a EWR-FLL roundtrip and said it was easily one of the most horrible trips he's ever taken. Both flights left over an hour late, the flight crews seemed inexperienced and there was no hot meal as advertised. Instead, they got wraps which he said was more bread than anything else. Legroom was marginal, and I believe with a 180+config its prob. 30"-31" at best.

From CLE-FLL stick with Continental.. do yourself the favor. Im yet to hear this product living up to its promises.

i flew between CLE-FLL on USA3000 in Jan '04 and had no problems other than being about 1/2 hour late. Food (an ok sandwich) and movie were free. 1 class A320 was adequate. for the price i'll fly them again.

I'll be flying them in about 2 weeks, stay tuned to the TR forum for a report since a lot of people have been asking about them here lately...

I worked on two of there leased aircraft from TCX last year. We had to take 4 rows of seats out to increase leg pitch.

Legroom was marginal, and I believe with a 180+config its prob. 30"-31" at best.
Maybe you should come over to the UK and try a UK Charter airline  Big grin

I am happy to report that my friend enjoyed her flight on USA3000. She said she got a meal, and there was an inflight movie, and they got to CLE early.

Thanks to all who helped me help her

30" seat pitch hmm..--I remember flying Sun Country DC10s IAH-LAS-IAH in '95 with 29" seat pitch in 380seat configuration-full flight--even at 14--it was extremely tight.
