Jump Seating Outside The US

Thu Dec 23, 2004 12:26 am

Hi all

When I travel, I normally travel to/from the US to the Caribbean or Caribbean-Canada/Europe via the US. I also fly 2 to 3 times a month GCM-KIN or HAV. I've noticed that even though flights to and from the US dont allow jumpseating, it is still more or less a way of travelling in the Caribbean (especially during the busy christmas season. For example, Cayman Airways operates 4 daily GCM-KIN-MBJ-GCM flights daily on a 733 during the season, and AJ operates 3 daily A321's and 6 weekly Dash-8's. All flights are booked solid until January 7, and the standby lists are also closed. If you have the right connections in either airline, its easy to get a jump seat on a flight. What do you think?
