Lufthansa 340-600 No PTV?

Thu Dec 23, 2004 5:09 am

My wife and I plan to go to Malaysia in September next year.
We have got the best prices from Lufthansa and my preferred travel agency this flight goes from GOT-KUL via MUN Josef Strauss in t and a stop in BKK with LH.

I was frilled to see that the flight from MUN to KUL will be in a Airbus 340-600.
Of course I made a picture search at Airliners.net and was disappointed to see that they have not fitted the 346 with PTV in Economy class.

Is all LH 346 without PTV?

Merry Christmas,
Joakim

Sadly yes all LH aircraft are devoid of PTVs in Coach (Economy) Class

you will find that this is a common topic here on airliners.net

unfortunately, all Lufthansa A340-600s have a hole in the seat in front of them where the PTVs should be.

In fact, none of the aircraft that LH flies that they themselves acquired new have PTVs in economy.

I believe that the ex-SR and ex-SN A330s have PTVs however, this is the only way you can experience a PTV in economy class on Lufthansa.

By the way, Munich's Franz Josef Strauss airport is MUC, not MUN.

Merry Christmas also and look forward to a trip report when you come back in september.

The empty space where the screen should be is ideal for placing empty Warnsteiner bottles in! Includes elastic restrainer strap! Who needs PTV?

Actually the hole is the symbolic place for the wad of bills Lufthansa is saving at every seat by not installing PTV's in Peasant Class.  Big thumbs up

I recommend drinking at least 10 bottles in order to survive the cattle carrier run... Nuts...otherwise, the loss of memory could result in choosing that airline again and that would be really Embarrassment Embarrassment Embarrassment

Btw, how much was Malaysia Als from ARN to KUL? And there's really no other choice?
