UA 747 Emergency At SFO?

Sat Dec 25, 2004 2:00 pm

One of my friends told me that while he was at SFO today he saw a UA 747 with multiple emergency vehicles surrounding it. It all happened at the SFO international terminal around 2:45 pm. He thinks it may have been an engine fire but isn't totally sure. Anyone got details on what happened?

The emergency you referenced was a fuel spill. Actually the 747 was venting fuel from its wing due to being overfilled.
