Worldperks Codeshare Frequent Flier Miles Question

Thu Dec 30, 2004 2:30 pm

Now that I've decided to become a World-Perks member since I like the easy connections in MEM, I had a question about codeshare miles.

Can I get WorldPerks Miles on any DL or CO operated flight? Or conversely, can I only get miles on certain routes. For instance, if I look up BNA-CLE flights on www.nwa.com I only get options that connect in MEM even though CO has nonstop flights. If I look for OKC-BNA flights, they show an option operated by CO.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Also, can I book a flight on CO's website and enter my worldperks number there?

I am a SkyMiles member and have flown all three airlines lately earning miles on every flight. What has been different on each is the EQMs which of course differ based on the fare class. I would assume since all are SkyTeam members that the programs all have similar agreements. For more just check the NW website.

You will earn miles on all CO or DL operated flights.

If you are looking for status, there are some (lower) CO fares that will not earn full elite qualifying miles (EQM). And elite bonuses for DL operated flights are slightly different (I believe Platinum (top-tier) elites only earn a 100% instead of 125% bonus).

If you don't fly enough for EQM to matter, then you don't have to worry. You will earn full miles on most all Skyteam-operated flights (with the exception of some lower KE fares).

The NWA website appears to say that any Delta or CO flight is eligable. I was just looking for some assurance since some flights are coded and some are not.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll book CO when better suited for my needs. Luckily I don't have to worry about elite status.
