I hope not! That design is horribly ugly, especially the pink. AQ should not change their livery. There is nothing wrong with the current one. It is simple, yet elegant and professional. Besides it compliments the HA 717s and 767s at HNL very well in the Hawaiian sunshine. That c/s by Lila Design makes me think of the Energizer bunny for some reason.

I like the US Airways, too. I don't think we are going to see it except in a photo.

hey- that US airways livery is fantastic.
I hope it will be the future livery (maybe when US has gotten out of all their current problems)

It's very difficult to see, but below the image it says:

"Brand, logo and aircraft design study created by Diana Ngan, Hong Kong (private work). Diana joins the Lila Design freelance design team since 2004."

So since it's a design study, and a private work, I'd say no, it's not Aloha's new livery.

God, I hope not! That is one ugly airplane!

I think AQs livery now is awesome, and it features my favorite flower - the Bird of Paradise. What more fitting flower on an aircraft than a "Bird".

Geez, a frickin' pink plane with flowers on it! Why don't they rename it Hippie Air!  Big thumbs up

I like that livery in reply 10, very Hawaiian.

As far as the Lila design one.. well what's there to expect? Yet another funny lila design creation. The current one is needless to say a better livery.

What do they call this one? The flying panties? Actually substitute the pink for another color and it's a bit better. The tail design is the only thing I would keep from this livery.

Did anyone see the "mama air" design that is/was on the Lila website? Another pink livery, but with the UK flag on the tail. TOo funny.

I say they keep the current scheme, and do different tails like F9. Different Hawaiian flowers, birds, etc.

I actually would like to see a new livery for Island Air given that they are no longer owned or controlled by AQ. They need to get rid of the AQ livery off their aircraft to show their new independence.

This was actually on the forum several months ago. It was a concept design by one of their junior staff. It looks like it combines the Braniff colors with the 70s AQ livery, and it's a 737 wearing an Aloha shirt.

Blah... I was hoping for something new because I think the people at AQ are getting new uniforms!!! These are uniforms through the years, but I haven't seen the last several ones before...

Check it out! http://www.pbase.com/aqohana/fa_fashionshow&page=all

I don;t think its that bad.

The US Airways scheme seems to be a rip off of the LAN scheme

This may be what the Aloha fleet looks like if reorganizing under Chapter 11 fails:

I'm kind of neutral on the Aloha livery, not against and not with it. The colors are very bright and do have a tropical sense to it. However, it might be too bright.

As for the Turkish Airlines livery on the liladesign website, that one is a bad one. The idea is good, with the blue eye on the tail, a symbol for protection and strength in the turkish culture, but the red colour should be retained for Turkish Airlines. The red colour is the trademark for Turkish Airlines. Going away from the red is not a smart move and don't think Turkish Airlines will go away from that. The crane on the current tail should be (slightly) changed but keep the red colour. It's the colour of Turkey's flag. What I thaught was, to write Turkish Airlines in both Turkish (Türk Hava Yollari) and english (Turkish Airlines). This would give their livery both an international appeal (english language) and national appeal (turkish language). I know some turkish people and have been to Turkey as well, they are nice people.
