SkyBus Airlines

Anyone hear of this new airline, which is planning to start ops based out of Columbus, Ohio? Don't have a timeframe, or aircraft type...

Nothing has been said locally concerning this proposed airline for over 6 months now. The plan was for it to be a Ryanair-type outfit flying 737-700s to high O&D destinations from CMH to alternate airports like Gary, IN and Sanford, FL. My guess is that the proposal is dead. This is the same guy that tried to start Heartland Airlines out of Dayton with a fleet of 717s configured in a Midwest Airlines-type seat layout a few years ago, so I wouldn't put much faith into this endeavor actually getting off the ground.

For a minute I thought we were talking about the original Skybus out of Atlanta. Speaking of the guy in Dayton, what's he up to now?
