Can I Know How Old An Specific A/c/ Is?

Sun Jan 02, 2005 1:52 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to know how old an specific a/c/ is. Can anybody tell me about an internet link, where I can put the last registration number and find out when was constructed?

Thanks in advance.

It's sad that Tikal Jets is not in their data base...  Sad

The site only has the airlines that flew or fly the planes they cover, mostly Boeing and Airbus birds. Because Tikal flew DC-9's and BAC planes, which are not in their records, they do not show up in the database. Sorry about that.  Sad

Does anybody knows why if Tikal's code is WU , when I put the cursor over it displays Wuhan Airlines China?

I looked it up, and it says Tikal's code is WU, and Wuhan has no two-letter code, only a three-letter code of CWU. Must be a bug in the a.net system.

I always use planemad.net:

http://www.planemad.net/

When I looked at Tikal Jets' website, they listed a DC-9-51 in their fleet, which is covered in that database, but Tikal Jets' fleet isn't specifically yet. It's worth a try though, depending on how the plane is registered.

Nice looking bird, BTW, hope someone gets a good picture of it for the database here.

Cheers.

Here a list of Tikal's Dc-9s

TG-URY DC-9-32 1971
TG-ALE DC-9-51 1981
TG-JII DC-9-51 1981

the -50s must be some of the last built DC-9s as the newer MD-80 came along in 1981/82.

You can get it as:

and it is one of my favorite aviation sites.
Have fun with it!
