What Aircraft Will I Be Flying?

Sun Jan 09, 2005 10:50 am

Hi,

I know that it is a long time away but for one of my later flights in the year I will be flying U2 (EasyJet) from BRS-AGP on the 22nd of October and returning on the 29th of October.

My Flight Details

Outbound
Saturday 22 October
Check in opens 04:15 AM; Closes 05:45 AM
Bristol To Malaga
flight 6051; dep. 06:15; arr. 10:00

Return
Saturday 29 October
Check in opens 08:35 AM; Closes 10:05 AM
Malaga To Bristol
flight 6052; dep. 10:35; arr. 12:15

What I would like to know is that if it would be possible to find out what aircraft I will be flying on and the registration of the aircraft.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Regards,

Chris

From now till octobre, airlines come and go, it's way too far ahead, but i git a hunch it could be either an A319 or a B73G  Wink/being sarcastic

Firstly most airlines don't assign an aircraft to a flight much more than three days before the flight. Secondly most airlines consider it a security risk to let this information know to the public before the flight date. Just ask when you get on the plane.

Should be a 737-700

and post a one liner, "me too!", "Good post Jim!", "I disagree" or similar message. This takes up time as readers must sort through these messages

It all came down to price to be honest. To fly from BRS-AGP it cost us £120 each whilst with BMIbaby to fly CWL-AGP it cost us £190 each. Seeing as there are 6 of us going in total we figured that it would be cheaper to fly from BRS instead of CWL even if you include added costs such as fuel for the car and so on. However, I am flying from CWL in next few months on CWL-DUB - Air Wales, CWL-PRG - BMIbaby and CWL-YYZ with Zoom Airliners.

i thought U2 is a LCC, i am shoked to know prices in october,9 months ahead are this expensive, whatever happened to cheap flights, or maybe it's Bristol, not much competition and U2 is doing what it pleases them.

You'll find the higher prices are due to the constant demand to places like AGP, ALC and PMI. Because of the always-high demand, airlines can take advantage of it and thereby charge higher prices.

I agree with Capri, those prices look a little heavy for October!!

Looks like the LCC's are milking the market through lack of competition.

The same dates with U2 from LGW come in at £115.98, The cheapest BA fights come in at £115.10. Opodo has £114.10.

I think part of the problem is the flying dates are both saturdays.

The thing is that the week I am going away is the October half term so there will be a huge demand for flights to AGP, ALC, PMI and so on. We booked them early so that we could get a decent price. As I live in South Wales, the main options are CWL, 25 minutes away by car, BRS 1 hour away by car and then BHX which is around 1 hour and 45 minutes away minutes away by car and then there are LGW & LHR which are 3 hours away each.

So really it is CWL or BRS.. we always try and go from CWL but in this case the price was too much from CWL, we are going on quite a lot of flights/holidays this year so it all amounts up.

Chris

Yep, ah well!

The problem is that my mother and step father are both teachers and head teachers respectivley so they can only go away at the highest priced time of the year, in this case October half term.

This is always a problem and this is a reason why I will never be going into anything Education based.

maybe it's just me, you would think airlines will be lenient towards families, knowingly that half terms and so on that families need to go away and many of them have many kids, so that's a lot of money, instead they put high fares which many parents can't afford therefore, children stay at home sadly, or maybe i am asking too much.
