Creative Tail Numbers

Mon Jan 10, 2005 2:11 pm

At TEB we get some planes in with cool tail numbers such as N1KE (nike's plane) and an english Global express whose tail number is G-LOBL. Which ones have you heard?

Canadian North has a 737 that is an ex-PWA machine, which is (and has been since the PWA days) registered C-GOPW, I always thought that was a smart one...

Search for a thread named "EI's A333 regs."

It's a thread I started with EI's A333 regs, such as EI-LAX, EJ-JFK, EI-ORD, etc etc. We got into this whole thing looking for cool regs on planes all over the world and found many, many creative regs.

PS: I'd look for the thread, but I gotta go to bed now!

A380: "F-WWOW. You'll hear about it!"

You joking? Everybody here heared about it and it's a really "WOW" plane, so that some people are jealous and call it "U-GLY" but this is what makes us proud  Wink/being sarcastic

By the way: a shame to give such a reg to this beautiful innocent plane. Hmmmm, or a joke to give that Reg to a European (non-US) bird.

I hope the plonkers in Hanover (=TUI) will not change these liveries into their barbaric blue!

First time I really noticed it was a heavily delayed, cold, rainy night at BWI when I was working on C15. Then this bird pulled in next to us on 17 and we all couldn't help but get a chuckle out of the registration.

United 717 heavy, you're facing the wrong way. Any chance you can powerback to get off of my deice pad?
