Business First On CO Int'l 757's?

Tue Jan 11, 2005 9:52 am

May be flying CO to LIM next week. Do CO's international 757's have domestic First Class configuration, or Business First?

There are 757s with the BizFirst configuration.

I don't know if the route you are flying receives that service or not.

Artsyman, what would that consist of? Never flown CO, but want to try them because of their reputation. How would the FC product on the LIM flight vary from a Biz First service? Thanks for any info!

I was on a CO 752 with international Business configuration this past weekend. It has the same space as the 772 and 762. You can tell when you look at the seating chart. On the international configuration, there are only 4 rows of seats, domestic has 6.

Seats have less electronic features like foot extensions, and IFE does not have games. On my flight from SFO to EWR the FA's did not reset the entertainment system so for the last 2 hours, there was no First Class video selection.

The flight is served identical to a transcon, including printed menu with appetizer and salad course, three or four entree choices, sundae for dessert, and light breakfast snack offered prior to arrival in Lima. Same seats, silverware, china, and linens as regular BusinessFirst, just no appetizer cart, second dessert choice, Executive Meal Option, amenity kits, or Concierge service on the ground.

The changeover to "domestic" First really is only a small step down, now that I think of it, it's almost exactly like the Hawaii BusinessFirst service, just without the fancy name.

This is not true, the LIM flights get the domestic F seats, not the BF seats

When I flew EWR-LIM and EWR-BOG-UIO, both flights had BF seats. I just checked Saturday's EWR-LIM flight on Continental.com and the seat map shows the F class cabin with 4 rows, not 6.

It also shows seat 1B blocked, is this for crew use? I didn't notice any crew rest seats when I flew down.

Unless my desktop timetable is incorrect, the month of January is showing 75B service on both EWR- and IAH-LIM.

After this month, I believe IAH-LIM changes over to a regular 757-200, but EWR-LIM remains a 757-200 in the International configuration.

I'm only speaking from experience on a recent flight, which was in fact a 75B with service identical to a regular transcon.

I just checked flights on CO's website, and in both directions, it shows the FC cabin with 4 rows as opposed to 6 rows.... Biz First?
