And now Easyjet is planning (or has already decided, difficult to know) a new route L(a) Coruña-London Luton (LCG
), according to the most important Galician newspaper (lavozdegalicia.es, but only in Spanish). Flights should start on March 27.
By the way, Bullpit, the fare I mentioned was 18-22 April, i.e., Monday-Friday. Of course, with a Saturday Night Stay Requirement, it would be 175 euro, but even this is about 300% more expensive than Ryanair!
I don't know if we, Galicians, are "a very special pap" but even here we understand what "300%" means. You, Iberia guys, have to be blind not to recognize that LCC are a real threat to Iberia. Please, react accordingly, with imagination, and not with this kind of self-sufficient comments. Here, in Belgium, the Sabena people used to express themselves in that way and we all know how the story ended.
I think that the present route Santiago-London (SCQ
) is not going to last more than a year because it will be impossible to fill an A320 (or, maybe, it could be transferred to Air Nostrum; Iberia itself has not small jets).
