Question About Leasing 733s

Wed Jan 12, 2005 1:30 pm

Greetings everyone. I need some help and information on leasing Boeing 737-300s. Now I need to know if any European Airline is currently leasing or would lease 733's to another airline. Also, what is the typical price an airline might pay to lease 10 of the 733's. If any European Airline is not leasing this type of plane, is there a website to the deserts that store these types of planes in the United States? Thank you for your time.

Signed,
Matthew

British Airways has two 733 available for lease... but no idea on price

If any European Airline is not leasing this type of plane, is there a website to the deserts that store these types of planes in the United States?

US has some stored and UA have offloaded some. These sites might be of use-

http://www.aviatorsale.com/Large_Transport_Jet/
http://www.planemart.com/listings.asp?type=Commercial&manufacturer=BOEING&model=737-300
http://www.globalplanesearch.com/view/all/AllAL.htm

If you are actually looking to aquire some 733, I recommend finding a broker who can provide you with far more details than you will find on this site.

At Astraeus we have three contracts wet leasing (with flight crew) 733's to Iceland Express, Air Asia and soon flybe. Don't know what it costs, but it's something people like Air Atlanta/Islandsflug and Channel Express do all the time.

The worldwide average price has consistently (for the last 1.5 years) been over $1.00 a gallon for aviation fuel. If you are making cost projections, you would be safest using a figure greater than $1.00 a gallon. Sounds shocking, so here's some ways to reduce fuel burn if you commence "opperations" -

The aircraft component itself in the lease can go for about 95k - 115k USD a year (this was October last year) for about 10 or so 733/734...

Can anyone tell me how much fuel a 733 burns an hour?

Mandala, is that 115k per aircraft or 115k total for the ten planes?

>is there a website to the deserts that store these types of planes in the United States?<

A website the deserts? I am sure there are plenty of websites on the Mojave and Arizona Deserts, but none will tell you about the airplanes. Also, the AIRPORTS that store the planes, MHV/MZJ/Davis Monthan/LAS, don't own the planes they store. Those are owned by whatever airline/leasing company/spares seller/scrapper holds title and keeps them there.

>Mandala, is that 115k per aircraft or 115k total for the ten planes?<

$115,000 for 10 airplanes would only be $958.33 a month. Come on now, a car can cost more than that. That is per plane
