I don't think you will see DL
investing in converting its 763 interiors to the new 777 type interior. The retrofit package is available from Boeing and other sub-contractors, but I understand the retrofit is quite pricey and since DL
has a lot of 763s, it would be a significant capital outlay to refit the walls and bins.
Its a really good idea, however, because the new bins on the 764 are much larger than on the existing 763 and can handle more overhead baggage while making the cabin appear much larger. If DL
can refit them as they do their D checks, maybe they can spread the costs out over a period of time to make this a more reasonable expense outlay.
We can hope.
