KLM Service

Fri Mar 24, 2000 11:04 am

In June I will be flying from Amsterdam to Kiev on a KLM 737. How is the service? Is it good food? Good seats? Good flight attendents? Also would I be able to visit the flightdeck during flight? If so, do you think the pilot would mind if I took a picture?

Thank You.

KLM service is very good, at least in economy class. One main characteristic I noticed on many flights is how attentive and trully friendly cabin staff they have, very motivated and professional. The food is OK but they keep small details such as providing hot towels, drinks on long haul flights. KLM is the best! you will like it.

I don´t know if they allow flight deck visits.

Hi Vw, you can expect KLM's service to be a mix of Lufthansa's and SAS' level of service.
They are very friendly but the seats, meals etc. are just european standard (no fancy stuff).
I am sure they will let you in the cockpit if you ask them friendly. And of course you'll be able to take pictures there!

Nice flight!

P.S. It's a very safe airline.

Hi. KLM is very good, the service is excellent and the flight attendants are the friendliest. The food is OK. You will likely be able to visit the cockpit, I was able to do that on a B747 about a month ago.

The KLM service on european routes is very good. The FA's are very nice and friendly. seat and legroom is average or above. The food is good, but not too big. before the meal you will get hot towlels or refreshing towels (it depends on flight) The 737 are very clean and you cant see that some of them are from the 80's.
ANd there is no doubt, you will get a flightdeck wisit, and it will may last for about 20 min's. The pilots is very friendly and tells you a lot, so i will guess that they let you take some pictures. (i don't think any jumpseat landing will be able, bacause that seat is use to store different stuff. Clothes etc..)
you should look forward to your flight.

have a nice trip

The KLM service is very good. KLM is my favourite airline. I am flying on KLM more or less once year from AMS to JRO or DAR. I must admit that I don't like the MD11 they use on that route that much. Anyhow the inflight service is excellent and AMS is nice and spotterfriendly airport !
