What Is The Callsign For MidAtlantic Airways?

Sat Jan 15, 2005 11:50 pm

Hi everyone,

I can't seem to find this info online so I'm turning to the experts...  Smile

I'm trying to find the callsign for MidAtlantic Airways which operates US Airways' Embraer 170 as US Airways Express. Any clue?

Thanks!

Mid Atlantic uses 'USAir' as thier callsign. They bring the E170's into ROC all the time - cool little jet BTW!

United_fan is correct. Remember, theoretically Mid-Altantic does not exist. It runs off of the USAir operating certificate. It is just like MetroJet....a brand name. Why does it say US AIRWAYS EXPRESS on it? No one can answer that. Some thoeries are because it is made up of furloughed employees making a lot less than they did at US AIRWAYS. Putting "EXPRESS" on the side further confuses things.
