Delta MD-90 In PHL?

Mon Jan 17, 2005 11:38 pm

This morning (about 8-8:15am) as I was driving by PHL on I-95, I could've sworn I saw a Delta MD-90 pulling away from the old international terminal. At first I thought it was the normal MD-88s, but the engines looked larger. Was I indeed seeing a MD-90 or were my eyes deceiving me?

Very well could have been an MD-90 on an equipment change. Just the other day we sent an MD-90 from DFW to LGA - I bet that was a surprise for the LaGuardia folks. I'll check the computer when I get to work and see if I can figure out if its true.

The funny thing is that me and a couple of the PHL guys were talking today about how nice it would be to see an MD90 here.. If there was one there today, a couple people will be pissed that they missed it.  Big grin

Well I looked on the computer and I didn't see anything about an MD-90 in PHL for something scheduled. It could have been a ferry flight or a charter flight, if it was indeed there. Maybe some other DL guys can have some insight on the matter.

Thanks for checking. I was thinking it might have been a charter because it pulling away from the old international terminal which is frequently used by charters. Could it have possibly been the New Orleans Hornents arriving for today's game?

I was at PHL from 1pm Sunday until 3pm Monday and never saw an MD-90. Strange that I was thinking it would be nice to see one while I was there.

The Hornets do have their own aircraft N777KY.

It was parked at the far end of the Atlantic ramp. It arrived just after 6pm on Sunday and left around 530pm yesterday.

Unfortunately I dont think you saw a MD90. I looked at the flight plans filed for DL into PHL for the month of January so far, no MD90s.

Thanks guys. I guess my eyes were deceiving me.  Sad

I could barely see it, but I did see that 727 sitting over there. I just didn't notice the logo.
