My mother brought us our dog all the way from LIM
(I didn't have to get him in LIM
but my dad had a pedigree puppy and he didn't charge me anything for a $500 + dog) and the dog was checked in LIM
, via DFW
, and arrived in SJC
in perfect shape. As someone else said, they would be in deep "dog shit" (pun included) if anything happened to anyone's pet. Remember, the US is the country where parents sometimes love their animals more than their human offspring, and the airlines don't want to deal with the wrath of the pet owner whose dog is nowhere to be found. To show you how careful they are with animals, the reason my dog had to travel with my mom is because, back in 98, there was a heatwave in Dallas and there was an embargo on live animals in the months of July and August, when we were visiting LIM
. So he flew in October and, as I write this note, he continues to be as happy as a spotter at Maho Beach (SXM
