Drinking Water On A/c Getting Worse

The only water I've ever had on a flight was bottled; are they talking about lavatory water?  Nuts

I admit, I just skimmed it and posted it for others to share... I stand corrected.

Can anyone familiar w/ in-flight catering or food prep give an example of how the galley faucets are used? Specifically for drinking water? Add to food before heating? All of the above?

This is one area of commercial air travel that I am less familiar with.

On the B737,there is a Potable [Not Portable  Smile ]water tank aft of the Aft cargo section.Water from there is supplied to Galleys & Lavatory faucets [Not Waste water ie Toilet].
Galleys have heaters to provide Hot water & cold water after filteration.
which can be used for making Tea/Coffee.
Rest used Packed water.

This is scary... don't they use the tap water to make the COFFEE that everyone loves to drink??

Read about this in the local paper today.
